Barcode Team

Tumelo Moutlana  (Thee Dope) is a  Director who's work shines with the qualities of an Auteur. Tumelo studied Film and TV production at TUT film academy and majored in Directing. Tumelo's graduation film won Best Picture at the academy's annual awards ceremony, which went to  show on Mzansi Magic. Tumelo has four short films under his belt excluding other projects and he is driven by the passion to constantly push the envelope beyond the confines of "film making" to realize a vision.

Writer/ Director Thabo Maleswene is a Film School Graduate at the Tshwane University of Technology. Thabo completed his diploma in 2011 and has two student short films to his credit as a director and one as a writer. Independently he has written and directed "Salvation of the Soulless" a short film under the Barcode Pictures umbrella. Qualified also as a Cinematographer, he has been involved in Documentaries as well as live concert shoots where he delivered as a Cameraman. Currently the Filmmaker, besides working on Barcode Pictures productions, is a freelance cameraman and freelances as a Television screenwriter in the industry.

Director/D.O.P (Director of Photography) Nelson Dire is a Film School Graduate who is very passionate about the Arts, more especially Storytelling and Filmmaking. As a D.O.P he has done two short films and one commercial with Barcode Pictures. As a Director he has done a mini sitcom episode, a piracy commercial and a short film called Boomerang. He has experience in Live T.V Church Shows as a Cameraman and Audio Assistant. Nelson wants to use his skills of film to teach the people of South Africa, especially the youth, about what is going on out there in the world so that we can improve and grow as a country.
Oratile Senokwane (EyeKyu) is a producer and editor, experienced and well versed in short films, public service announcement, music videos and short form documentaries. Oratile knows that when it's all set and done the Barcode Pictures catalog should speak for itself and also that any project that Barcode Pictures works on should unapologetically strive to push the envelope. He believes that art and passion should precede profits but not naively so, in that, when the dust has settled, Barcode Pictures is a business and profits are what keep a business running. He loves editing due to the fact that the rules of physics don't apply in the edit suite and that editing can change the course and direction of any film.
